Story Practice Words: Lantern, Window, Nest, Whisper, Thread
Golden Hour or Twilight, when the horizon is painted with beautiful hues of light pink and fading streaks of orange.
It feels different from the city here. On the beach, the sky feels touchable, as if I am walking on a cloud in the water. I’ve never seen such clear glass water.
Walking back to the shore, with green, blue, and red lanterns swaying in the wind. I am completely in awe of Hawaii.
The cool, sweet breeze carrying the scent of sweet honeyflowers tangles in my hair, whispers in my ears, kisses my nape. A small shiver runs down my nape, making my hair stand. It is the best decision of my life to come here for summer vacation.
Rubbing my arms, I rush towards the nest. Snatch the thread shawl and pull it around my shoulders. I still want to watch the sunset. So, quickly heating water and adding a cup of Earl Grey tea into a cup, I made tea for myself and took a seat in front of the window.
The sky slowly started losing its golden hues and is enveloping in dark black all across the sky. I don’t know how many hours I have sat there, but it feels quiet, different, like watching nature’s play and being a part of it.
