There was a time in my life that I call The Hard Years. I was very sick, and at the same time, I struggled with anxiety and depression. Everything felt heavy, and I often thought that dying would be easier than living. Those thoughts made me neglect my health, and when my sickness was finally detected, reality hit me hard. I was shaken, scared, and forced to face the truth.
🙏 Grateful to God in the Hard Years
I am always grateful to God for that one unusual night when I did something unexpected, which led to my diagnosis. That moment saved me. It was as if He woke me from a trance-like state and reminded me that life is precious. I believe He gave me another chance, and I hold that gift close to my heart, even in the Hard Years.
📚 Finding Strength in the Hard Years
In those dark days, books became my small light. Reading gave me courage and reminded me that I was not alone. The words of others helped me believe that pain can be bearable if we love ourselves enough and take life one day at a time. Slowly, I began to heal—not just my body, but also my mind.
🌱 Progress and Healing
Today, I am in a much better condition. I still have anxiety and fears, but they no longer control me or push me to the edge. Before, whenever something hurtful happened, I thought of sickness and death. Now, those thoughts don’t come to me anymore. That is progress, and I hold on to it with gratitude.
💫 Living Forward
The Hard Years taught me that even in pain, there can be growth. Healing is not perfect, but it is possible. With patience, self-love, and courage, we can move forward and find peace in small steps.
