Grateful reflections often come to mind when I receive great, amazingly fantastic news. The first thing I do is silently pray to the universe or to whichever higher power I believe in. This act of gratitude comes from my deep appreciation for life, especially given the tough times I’ve been through.
My Journey Through Dark Times
There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by sadness, anxiety, and negative thoughts, feeling alone in a dark place. During this hard time, I got sick. One night, I felt so cold that I moved to the hall, where my father noticed me. He took my temperature and found out I had a high fever, which was unusual for me.
The Turning Point
A few days later, I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. This diagnosis scared me but also pushed me out of the mental and emotional funk I was in. It was a wake-up call that made me realize the importance of health and how fragile life can be. I am very thankful to the higher power for saving my life because if it hadn’t been for that night, it might have taken much longer to find out what was wrong with me.
Gratitude and Reminders
Now, whenever I feel those dark thoughts coming back, the higher power gently reminds me of how tough those days were, both mentally and emotionally. This reminder helps me stay grounded and grateful for the present, recognizing the importance of every moment and how far I’ve come.
By remembering these past struggles and being grateful for my recovery, I find strength and motivation to keep moving forward. I embrace life’s ups and downs with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.
Grateful Reflections
Embracing life’s miracles and being grateful for every moment shows our journey and the strength we’ve gained along the way.
