Today is Thursday, our Slow Living Thursday blog, and today we are talking about our Hidden Wishes.
With this in mind, I am writing today’s post with a gentle intention — to help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the Hidden Wishes that live quietly inside you.
Today, let us forget everything else — time, money, relations, duties… all of it.
Let us focus only on who we are, what we feel, and what our hearts have been softly asking for.
This is not another blog telling you to be happy or take a break.
Nope.
This blog is for everyone — every dreamer, every believer, and every person who carries Hidden Wishes in their mind’s quiet corners.
Those Hidden Wishes We All Carry
All of us have that one small Hidden Wish we’ve kept safe for years — from childhood, school, college, or adulthood.
Maybe your Hidden Wish was to:
- Spend a whole day reading
- Go to a play
- Act in a play
- Sing boldly at karaoke
- Or my favourite — sleep inside a library
(My own silly Hidden Wish! Impossible, yes… so just go find a good book instead. And please don’t blame me if you get caught.)
These Hidden Wishes often sit inside old diaries, forgotten notebooks, dusty shelves, or the dark room of our mind — waiting to be remembered.
It’s Time to Bring Out Your Hidden Wishes
With the weekend approaching, this is your gentle reminder:
Take out your Hidden Wish.
Let it breathe.
Let it live.
You don’t need a grand plan.
Just do that one small thing your heart has been whispering for years.
Even fulfilling a tiny Hidden Wish can bring surprising peace, joy, and a quiet sense of inner healing.
A Simple Way to Honour
Write your Hidden Wish on a small piece of paper and keep it somewhere close — your table, wallet, or mirror.
Sometimes, a small reminder gives the courage to honour the dreams we ignore.
A Soft Moment to Imagine
Maybe this weekend you sit by your window, sip warm coffee, and finally read the book you’ve been saving.
A small Hidden Wish,
A simple moment,
A quiet joy.
Share Your Hidden Wishes at The Cozy Café
Once you fulfil your Hidden Wish, come share your little story at The Cozy Café.
Your experience may encourage someone else to open the door to their own Hidden Wishes too.
With warmth,
