My Journey of Fictional Story Writing ✨

My dream cozy cottage gives peace energy in fictional story writing.

It has been a year since I last wrote a story, and I truly missed it. To get back into the habit, I’ve decided to start fictional story writing every day. The idea is simple: I’ll take five random words and turn them into a short story. This way, I’ll practice daily, enjoy the process, and hopefully improve step by step.

Today’s five words are: Rain, Letter, Window, Cat, Secret.

My First Attempt at Fictional Story Writing

Have you ever seen a secret hideout? Away from people’s chattering, from the pungent smell of tar, and rancid smell of garbage.
Here it is all green, with lush green leaves swaying on wind, birds chirping around, rain gently making it’s way down. Through the foilage I made my way slowly to my hideout.

As I neared, I slowly let my cat jump down from embrace. Last year while running around, I had found this place.
It was small house like, abonded but still in good shape. I used to vist daily to see if it belongs to someone. But for months it was empty, so I reclaimed as my own.

Inside is filled with small shelves, and has been vacant for many years. There is a small window which overlooks the river below the hill. I have spent countless evening watching the hues, and sun disappear from the horizon.

I have put some fairy lights inside, after cleaning this house. It took me two rounds to bring all my books and arrange them in order. They are few books, but I am thinking of buying more to fill this place.

While arraning my books, there was an uneven finishing which left the wood out a bit, not knowing what do I pulled the wood, only to find a hidden space, and a small letter, saying,

“To whoever read this, this house brought me joy. I hope it brings joy to you. This house should never be known to other, keep it a secret.”

Folding, the note, I looked around that beautiful carved wooden house, and sent a small thank you prayer to whoever made it. And prayed for his happiness.
It has been my secret, and my pride for a year and for the rest of my life.

Why I Am Practicing Fictional Story Writing

This is my very first step back into writing. I know there are spelling and grammar mistakes, but that’s okay — fictional story writing is not about perfection, it’s about practice and progress. Each day I hope to improve a little more.
