📖 The Book Ending That Broke My Heart
If I could rewrite any book ending, it would be Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. Even now, I feel sad and emotional just thinking about how the author ended Will’s life. Call me selfish, but my heart still cries out, why did it have to end this way?
Yes, I understand his choice. He wanted freedom from a life where he had to depend on others for every small thing. But does my heart accept it? No. My heart says he should have gone with Louisa, seen the world, and then decided to live — not just for himself, but for her, for his parents, for love.
❤️ Love vs. Book Ending Logic
This story creates a constant war inside me. My heart believes love is the most important thing, strong enough to change his decision. His parents pleaded with him, Louisa begged him to stay. Love was right there, waiting to heal him.
But my mind also whispers that his thoughts made sense. He wanted dignity, independence, and control over his own life. And so, I stand in the middle — torn between heart and mind, between hope and acceptance, between love and the book ending that was chosen.
🌟 Is Anyone Like Me?
Sometimes I wonder if other readers feel the same. Do you also wish Will had chosen differently? Do you believe love could have been enough? Or do you agree with his decision?
