Longing for Walking in Nature

Walking in nature with joy.

Every day has its own rhythm. Some parts feel soft and comforting. Others feel heavy and hard. For me, the part I always try to skip is walking in nature—not because I don’t love it, but because I don’t have it.

The Trouble with Walking Here

Walking in nature should feel peaceful. But in the place I live, it doesn’t. There are no trees, no birds, no quiet green spaces. Just buildings and people. I love dogs—they make me smile—but many people here don’t like dogs. They act annoyed or rude around them, and that makes me sad.

People here are also very nosy and talkative. They ask too many questions or stare too much. I don’t feel safe or relaxed. I just want to walk quietly, without being watched or judged. That’s why I skip it whenever I can.

My Dream of Walking in Nature

I dream of walking in nature—in a forest, by a lake, or through a field of wildflowers. And, I want to hear leaves rustling and birds singing. I want to feel the wind and see the sky without wires and walls. Also, I want to be surrounded by nature, not people who make me feel small. That kind of walk would feel like a hug.

Choosing Peace Instead

Until I find a place where walking in nature feels soft and safe, I’ll choose other ways to feel calm. Writing, baking, or sitting by the window with a warm drink—these are my peaceful rituals. They help me breathe gently and stay close to myself.

🌿 Do you skip walking too? Or do you dream of walking in nature like I do? Come share your story, your wish, or your quiet moment at The Cozy Café. Let’s turn skipped routines into shared reflections and gentle belonging.
