Screen Stillness is something I’ve been craving lately. But if I’m being honest, I’m not very good at managing my screen time. My day is filled with glowing rectangles—laptop for work, mobile for scrolling, TV for winding down. It feels like I’m always in front of a screen, and the quiet moments are rare.
A Tiny Pause in the Noise
Right now, my only real break from screens is about 30 minutes during the day. That’s when I step away, breathe, and let my eyes rest. Apart from that, the only time I truly embrace Screen Stillness is when I go to bed at night. It’s not much, but it’s something.
The Gentle Pull of Reading
I’ve been thinking about starting to read again—real books, with pages and silence. Reading feels like a doorway to Screen Stillness, a way to reconnect with myself without digital distractions. I haven’t started yet, but the thought is growing roots.
Trying, Not Perfect
I’m aware that too much screen time makes me tired and scattered. I’m trying to be more mindful, to notice when I’ve had enough. It’s a slow process, but I believe in small steps. Screen Stillness isn’t just about turning off devices—it’s about turning toward peace.
Hope, Habit, and the Cozy Café
I’m hopeful. I want to build better habits, to welcome more moments of Screen Stillness into my day. If you’re on a similar path, I invite you to share your story at The Cozy Café—a gentle space for reflection, warmth, and imperfect progress.
Let’s start today. Close one screen. Open a book. Step into stillness. Then come tell us how it felt.
What do you do to stay away from screens? I’d love to hear your rituals, your struggles, or even your tiny wins. Let’s learn from each other and grow gently, together.
