Do you ever feel like running away from the noise and hiding in nature?
This weekend, that’s exactly how I felt. I imagined sitting under a tree, enjoying fresh air, and finding peace. But instead of that kind of social escape, I found myself caught in the middle of people and conversations.
Oh, and before I forget—sorry for posting this a little late today! I woke up late, things kept piling up, and instead of sharing around 9:30 am, I’m writing now. But I’m glad you’re here reading this. 😊
My Weekend Wish
Sometimes, we all dream of disappearing into a calm place where nobody can disturb us. This weekend, I wanted the same—a quiet social escape in nature. But instead of silence, I ended up surrounded by people.
My Backup Plan
Since escaping wasn’t possible, I decided to turn to Instagram. Funny reels and lighthearted videos are my go-to rescue when I need a laugh. Even though it’s not the same as nature, scrolling reels is a mini social escape for me.
Talking Is Okay… Until It’s Not
Conversations are fine most of the time. But I start to feel drained when:
- I don’t know the person well
- The chat turns into long history talks
- I already feel socially exhausted
And yes, I can sense this weekend will be full of such moments where I’ll crave a little social escape.
A Little Escape Helps
Even though I couldn’t go into nature, I realized small things—like watching memes, listening to music, or scrolling Instagram—can be a simple social escape. It may not be perfect, but it still helps refresh the mind.
What About You?
Now I’m curious—what do you do when you feel socially tired? Do you look for a social escape through social media, books, or maybe a walk outside? Share your tips in the comments, because I’d love to learn from you. 💛
