Cozy weekend escape with book, coffee, and homemade dessert.

Hello guys,
Finally, the weekend is around the corner, and honestly, I’m counting down the hours ⏳. I can’t wait for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Do you ever dream of a little weekend escape—one where you unplug from everything and just breathe? 🌿 That’s exactly what I’m planning to do.

This time, no to-do lists, no phone calls—just peace and quiet ☁️💆‍♀️.

Planning My Perfect Weekend Escape 📚🍿

For my weekend escape, I want to get lost in a good book 📖, laugh at funny shows 😂, and enjoy some downtime cooking for myself 🍳. If you’re looking for book inspiration, check out my Saturday Book Challenge: The Best Books of 2023 and 2024. It might help you find your next weekend read!

There’s something soothing about spending time in your own company. Just you, your thoughts, and your favorite little things 💫.

Weekend Escape Means Cooking Without Pressure 🎶👩‍🍳

One big part of this weekend escape is stepping back into the kitchen—but this time, without pressure. Cooking usually stresses me out because I expect too much from myself 😅. But now, I’ve decided to let go of that 💛.

I’ll play my favorite songs 🎵, wear my go-to apron, and cook just for fun. I don’t know what I’ll make—maybe something sweet 🍰 because my cravings are strong. I might even try something new from Love and Lemons’ vegetarian recipes—they always have something cozy and simple

When My Last Cooking Experience Ruined the Mood 😤🍲

Earlier this week, I cooked twice. And both times, it didn’t go well. My mom didn’t like the ingredients I used, and that frustrated me 😔. Not because the food was bad—but because it felt like my effort was ignored.

I never complain about what others cook—unless there’s no salt 🧂😄. That’s the only time I speak up. So, when she said she didn’t like what I made, I simply told her, “Happy cooking!” and walked away 🚶‍♀️. Maybe it was harsh, but it was how I felt.

This weekend escape gives me a chance to cook without worrying about anyone’s opinion but mine 🧘‍♀️.

Choosing Myself, One Recipe at a Time 🥄💚

After this week, I’ve decided to cook only for myself. Not out of anger—but for peace ☕. My weekend escape is about doing what I love, without rules, without needing approval. Even if the dish turns out weird 😅, it’s still made with joy, and that’s what matters.

What About You? 🗣️💬

Have you ever needed your own version of a weekend escape? Maybe cooking without judgment? Or just hiding away from the world for a bit? 🌍
Share your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear them 💌.

This weekend, I’m choosing a break from expectations. I’m choosing books, sweet cravings, music, and my own company 🌸🎧🍫.
My kind of weekend escape.
