When I think about being five, it’s hard to remember exactly what I dreamed of becoming. However, one faint memory from school stands out vividly. There was a special celebration, and as part of it, each student received a book to read. It was my very first book—a simple gift, but one that would leave a lasting impact on me and spark my dream of becoming a writer.
Discovering My Dream
That book opened up a new world. The way the writer told stories fascinated me. The words were simple yet captivating, and anyone could enjoy them. I started to dream of becoming a writer, just like the author of that book. I wanted to create stories that were easy to read and touched people’s hearts. It was a small spark, but it lit up my imagination.
The Roadblocks
As I grew older, life had its twists and turns. Someone I knew, who was a writer, made writing feel overly difficult and out of reach. Their perspective discouraged me, and over time, I began to doubt myself. I convinced myself that writing wasn’t meant for me and gave up on the dream I once held so close.
Coming Back to My Passion
But dreams, I’ve learned, don’t disappear. They wait patiently for us. Today, I find myself writing again, sharing my stories through blogging. It feels wonderful to reconnect with my passion and express myself in the way I always wanted to.
The Takeaway: Believe in Yourself
This journey has taught me a valuable lesson: always believe in yourself and your abilities. Dreams might wander, but they’re never truly lost. All you need is faith in yourself to bring them back to life.
