Dear 2025,
Hey there! Before you settle in, let’s get a few things straight. You are the sequel to 2024, which means you’ve got big shoes to fill—but also plenty of mistakes to fix. So, take it easy on us, will you? We’ve been through enough unnecessary drama, weird trends, and failed diets. Let’s agree to leave all that behind.
Lessons from 2024
2024 taught me a lot. I learned that forgiveness isn’t about letting others off the hook but about giving myself peace of mind. I discovered that negativity doesn’t deserve my energy, and, most importantly, that life is too short not to eat all the cake. So, 2025, you’re getting a version of me who’s kinder, happier, and unapologetically ready to embrace the joys of food—diet plans be damned!
Goals for 2025
This year, I’m chasing a dream: to make my blog a huge success and turn my passion into a paycheck. Writing is my therapy, my escape, and my connection to the world. My favorite blog I wrote this year was To All the Women Who Worry About Their Weight: You Are More Than a Number. It was close to my heart, and I’m proud of the positive impact it had. On the flip side, I’m also deleting a few of my early posts—so if you’d like to check them out before they’re gone, today’s your chance!
Embracing Joy
But it’s not all about work. I want laughter that makes my belly hurt, friendships that fill my heart, and moments that remind me why life is so beautiful. I’m saying goodbye to overthinking and hello to happiness, one bite of pizza at a time.
Message to Readers
To my readers: How do you feel about starting a new chapter? What are your hopes for 2025? Write your own open letter in the comments or on social media. Let’s share some positivity as we count down to midnight. Put on this playlist, grab a pen, and reflect on your goals while we welcome the new year with hope and maybe a little dancing:
- Believer by Imagine Dragons — A powerful anthem that’ll get you pumped to conquer anything 2025 throws your way.
- Unstoppable by Sia — Because feeling invincible is exactly how we want to start the year.
- No by Meghan Trainor — A sassy reminder to set boundaries and own your choices.
Goodbye, 2024. Hello, 2025!
Yours (hopefully less stressed),
